How many private event guests can you accommodate?
We can accommodate up to 150 guests in our beautiful + scenic outdoor space surrounding the Winery, weather permitting. We can seat up to 100 guests inside the Winery for full-service + plated meals, and can serve up to 150 guests using food stations indoors, on the covered pavilion and our outdoor seating.
Is ceremony seating included in my event package?
Yes. Included in the event package is 75 chairs for weekend packages. Additional chairs can be rented on your behalf.
Are tables and chairs included in my event package?
Yes. We have seating for 60 guests inside the winery and seating for 50 guests outside on our patio + pavilion area. We can arrange the rental of additional tables and chairs on your behalf.
How long will you “hold” an event date without a deposit?
We will “hold” an event date without a deposit for 7 days.
Is there space for the wedding party to use to get ready?
Yes, there is a Bridal Suite for the girls with a beautiful makeup bar, lots of outlets, mirrors, lighting, large bathroom and hooks for dresses. The Bridal Suite is also stocked with items you might have forgotten - bobby pins, safety pins, hairspray, snacks and more. Plus there is a Mimosa Bar - let us prepare a fun time for your girls!
For the boys, there’s the Grooms Cabin nearby but not in peeking distance of the girls. The cabin has a living room space for the guys to hang out with TV, large deck and fridge (we’ll stock for the boys).
Use of the Bridal Suite and Grooms Cabin is included in all Friday, Saturday & Sunday venue rentals.
Is there lodging?
Yes, the Grooms Cabin doubles as the Honeymoon Cabin - we encourage the boys to be neat and tidy and we’ll clean after them upon request. The use of the Honeymoon Cabin for the wedding couple is included in all Friday, Saturday & Sunday venue rentals
What is the deposit to secure my event date?
Your event date is secured with a 25% (50% for some events) non-refundable security deposit that is applied to the total cost of your event package.
Do you offer catering?
Our focus is on providing a beautiful venue. In order to successfully do just this, we currently do not offer catering services. We do, however, have a catering kitchen available for use by the caterer of your choosing included in all event packages.
Do you allow DJs or Bands?
We welcome DJs and Bands, and have dance floor space, too.
Do you decorate for us?
As part of each event package, we will set up ceremony seating in addition to table + chair set-up for Saturday & Friday/Sunday packages. We will also clean up after your event. We do not decorate or clean up any additional items brought in by you or your private event – this is to ensure your decorations are done to your specifications and that our staff does not inadvertently damage them.
We have a lots of decor available for you to use - all included in our rental packages at no additional charge.
Do you allow the use of candles as part of decoration?
We do allow candles that are completely contained inside votives and no-drip tapered candles. Our decor package includes lots of candle holders.
What are your restrictions on send-offs?
We allow (and encourage!) sparkler send-offs (weather dependent) in our paved parking area, but do not allow the use of bird seed/bird-seed send-offs. Additionally, we ask that you do not use silk flowers for the flower girl down the aisle.
Is staff included in the event package?
Included in your event package is set up/clean up staff, bar staff and an on-site coordinator during your event. Servers for third-party caterers are not provided.
Is china and service-ware included in the event package?
Included in your event package is glassware for tea/water + wine. We currently rent china-ware, and can assist with the rental on your behalf. Caterers may also supply all service-ware to include plates, flatware, pots, pans, chafing dishes, etc.
Can we bring in our own alcohol?
We do not allow outside alcohol, though we can offer local, craft and domestic selections. Just let us know what you enjoy and we’ll work with our distributor to make this available for your guests! We currently offer up to 14 varieties of estate-grown + bottled wines, and 8 beer varieties. We can purchase Champagne upon request through our distributor for toasts, too. All alcohol is served by Sanders Ridge staff and we reserve the right to refuse service for intoxicated guests.
Can we serve liquor?
We do not allow liquor because we are in a dry county that only allows for the service of beer and wine.
What hours are included in the event package?
Saturdays 10am-10pm, Fridays/Sundays 10pm-10pm, Weekdays 12pm-9pm.
When is my rehearsal?
Saturday packages rehearse on Fridays 12pm-5pm; Friday/Sunday packages by reservation.
Can I host a rehearsal dinner at Sanders Ridge?
Yes. While rehearsals are included in the event package, the addition of a rehearsal dinner is $500, and can be scheduled the evening before the wedding with 12pm-9pm access.
Is there parking available? Is there handicap parking/wheelchair accessibility?
Yes. There is ample parking near the venue, and handicap parking directly beside the Winery with a wheelchair-accessible entrance.
Who is responsible for cleaning and trash disposal?
Third-party caterers are responsible for removing their trash. You will be responsible for removing all decorations and anything you may bring into our venue with you. We will remove all other trash. We will clean the bridal suite, cabin and bathrooms after you leave.
Where is the nearest lodging for guests to stay?
The town of Elkin is 15-minutes away, and has an abundance of hotel options. We work with Fairfield Inn for discounted block rooms. Winston-Salem is about 25-minutes away and has additional lodging options as well.
